| Welcome Back!!
So I saw this video the other day of a guy going around and asking people “Would you rather have $10 or 10 bitcoin?”
Now, I’m not a big fan of crypto itself, but unless you’ve lived under a rock, 10 bitcoin is CLEARLY the winner there. 10 bitcoin is currently worth over $650,000 😳
And funny enough, everyone in the video said they would rather have $10 🤦♂️
People just don’t pay attention to the topic of money. Period.
Somewhere along the way, people started believing they're in SUCH a bad financial spot that there's no point in even trying anymore. | If that's you, today's newsletter is for you. If you do these 5 things, you’re golden. | 1. You’re Not Scared to Open Your Banking App
This sounds dumb until you realize how many people genuinely avoid looking at their bank account because they're scared of what they'll see.
Some people don’t even have their banking app on their iPhone Home Screen… This should be one of the MAIN APPS on your phone!! It should be front and center with Instagram and Facebook. | If ur scared to open ur bank account, ur NEVER gonna get better. Point blank period. You can’t put a bandaid on a cut that you can’t see.
2. You Know Exactly Where Your Bills Are Going Every Month
And bonus points if you have them written down somewhere. Your notes app, a spreadsheet, the toilet paper you just wiped your ass with. WRITE THEM DOWN! | You may randomly add in a subscription. Bills fluctuate. Life happens. | Writing these down is SO helpful. I write mine down in my notes app along with my income for the month. So I can see…
BILLS: $3,097 INCOME: $4,143
It’s helpful, trust me.
3. You Have Someone You Can Talk to About Money | This one might be the most underrated on the list. | Having a person in your life… A partner, a best friend, a sibling, literally anyone who you can openly talk to about money is a superpower. It keeps you accountable. It keeps you sane. It helps you feel less isolated. | When you decide to get better with your money, life gets lonely. Everyone wants to go do something and spend money somewhere. But you’re gonna be the odd one out, and stay home.
You’re actually the smart one. And having a human to talk to helps ❤️ | 4. You Spend At Least $1 Per Month on Your Health | This one's broad on purpose. | Protein powder. A gym membership. A multivitamin. A good pair of walking shoes. Anything that signals you have decided your physical health is worth investing in. | Your health is your most important financial asset. You can’t make money, build anything, or show up for anyone when you're running on empty. People who invest even a little into their health are making a long-term financial decision, whether they realize it or not. | We were given one body, take care of it. | 5. You Have a Job | I know. Seems obvious. But hear me out. | Having a job means you have income coming in. And in this world, a job is a luxury. Take care of your job. Be thankful for your job. Cause right now, the job market is REALLY rough. | If you have stable income and you're doing the other four things, you are genuinely in the top percentile of financial responsibility. | | What Would Stack Do?
Stack checks his app, knows his bills, talks to his people, and buys his protein. Every week. Without overthinking it. 🦥
| Sometimes being a Responsible Adult isn't about doing something crazy. It's just about doing the basics. | Go be a Responsible Adult ❤️
